University of Bedfordshire Year 10 TripPosted: 21st December 2018
Pupils in Year 10 attended the 16x16 trip to the University of Bedfordshire. All pupils used the University facilities to participate in several workshops led by academics and students from the University, which included STEM Escape Rooms, Arts and Culture, Listening Leaders, Computing, Communication, Dance your Colours and Psychology. These workshops were designed to develop pupils employability skills of communication, leadership, teamwork and professional conduct. Pupils also had the opportunity to interact with a number of employers, learn about apprenticeships and have a tour of the University campus.
The trip was a positive experience for the pupils, who enjoyed the day and developed a greater awareness of the world of work and higher education. One pupil said of the day, "it has totally changed my mind about my future".
